How to Size Relationship Line Thickness by Relational Question Response
You can now choose to display different relational question responses by varying the thickness of your relationships/lines/edges in your network maps. By pairing this with coloring by another relational question response, you can look for patterns and outliers across two different dimensions of your relationships for advanced analysis and unique insights. Here's how to use this feature:
1. Open your Relationship Settings on the left side of your network map.
2. Click the dropdown menu labeled "Size By" and choose any relational question to vary your line thickness based on their response option.
3. If you do not see your changes immediately, click the Rerun Map button at the top of the network map to refresh your new network map.
4. The Legend on the right will show what each line thickness represents. Click the response options to hide/display them like filters.
How to Filter Relationships by Relational Question Response
You can also filter out relationships based on relational question responses to only see connections that fit a specific criteria. This is helpful for exploring specific types of connections and interactions across the network and the degree of variance.
1. Click "Relational Questions" to open the drop-down menu.
2. Uncheck a relationship question to hide all members who have selected a response to that question. Check the box to display them again.
3. To filter out relationships based on their specific response options, click the drop-down menu to the right of the question to see all the response options.
4. Uncheck any specific question responses to hide lines who have that response. You will see a number showing how many relationships fit that criteria.
5. You can filter using multiple question responses to drill down your network maps to very specific types of relationships.
